Officer Syder should be charged with falsifying a police report, a felony.
“Why’d you flip me off?”
“You’re about to demonstrate why, sir.”
When that cop said “You failed to identify yourself to me!”, my jaw dropped just as much as the auditors.
That senior officer just said “It’s not really against the law to flip off the police like it should be” LOL these guys are on some major power trips.
when he says “I’ll falsify ev…” that was what’s called a frauden slip, he was deliberately falsifying evidence and got caught up in his cognitive dissonance. 6:52
This officers behavior is exactly why there is no respect for law enforcement.
His wife should have said she felt like she would be arrested if she argued with him. She only agreed with the officer out of fear and intimidation.
“And Baby Smith gets an A+ for remaining calm during this entire interaction, and exercising its Right to Remain Silent.”
“didn’t have any trouble with his wife or kid” I can see this mans feelings being hurt by the baby
The fact this officer knows he’s in the wrong and takes so many steps to justify his actions instead of just apologize is the definition of a true evil human being. This man should never be in any position of power over the life of another.
He knows he’s wrong; that’s why he’s begging for validation from every person he speaks with.
Imagine how much they lied before cell phone cameras.
I believe this officer is the reason they are called “pigs” sometimes. No offense to the intelligent and useful animals.
“It’s part of their job: To protect, to serve, and to commit perjury whenever it supports the state’s case.” -George Carlin.
That was wicked as hell to force his poor wife to identify him by threatening to take him to jail, leaving her and their child alone.
love how he mentions how he didnt have any issues with his toddler LMFAO
I always love the “You can record, I am recording you too”. I don’t need their permission but they have to feel like they are in control.
The officer lied. The supervisors are uninformed. The wife didn’t know her rights. This was disgusting.
An officer lies to protect his bruised ego? Imagine my shock.
this cop is so agitated the whole time, he created a whole big situation out of nothing, just chasing a guy down the street, talking a mile a minute, constantly rubbing his hands together. If you’re that jittery and anxious you should not be a police officer. I wouldn’t trust this guy to cut grass
So the cop spends 2 seconds waving and “being nice”, then immediately does a 180 and is a total hostile asshole toward the citizen for 20 minutes in order to teach him about “being nice”. Is this ‘roid rage or what?
At least three cars respond to “guy hurt my feelings”. Another police department that is defiantly not underfunded.
Disorderly conduct is the biggest joke of a “crime”.
This cop’s body camera will be used to against him in court
>> Most times body cam won’t even be admitted to court they give you excuses why it cant be given or it just doesnt exist is what your told had it happen to many times.
>> Often edited to leave out anything critical to the LEO, or, as others point out, may be ‘lost’, classified, or ‘unavailable ‘.

Oops, They had to let him go. Wasilla Police 5/24/18

Wasilla Police 5/24/18 They had to let him go
Wasilla Alaska.

The worst part is not the takedown, not the detainment…it’s the lying, gaslighting, and twisting the story to save his own hide. He’s a coward and doesn’t deserve a badge. Period.

Wow the officer didn’t even give him a chance to comply before tackling him.
Cop said I’m arresting you because he was not cooperating. The cop grabbed him right away without commands or time to respond to demands. This pisses me off.
The officer said that he always has people being aggressive towards him – this is a sign that this officer escalates situations rather than de-escalate. He is a liability for his agency if this is true.
I like how he tells the by standing citizen, when questioned, “its none of your business”. Actually, it is, you work for the citizens and its our right to redress grievances under the 1st amendment as well as file a complaint at anytime with any officer under most department policies.
Notice how his attitude changed when he knew he was wrong. Was wrong in the first place he’s on public property. Tyrant scared cop. This idiot doesn’t deserve to be a cop. Then just leaves the scene like a coward or dog with his tail between his legs. Then the distain for the public when confronted by another citizen over his actions. What a disgrace to the badge. 11 yrs and still doesn’t know his job. Hope this guy sues this so called cop, and take his QI as well.
The copy who tackled the man for no reason needs to find a different line of work, nothing but a THUG. I hope someone filed an Internal Affairs complaint against this officer. It’s amazing after the Officer is told by the Sergent that the man had NOT trespassed and committed no crime, the Officer asked, what he wants him to do with the guy in cuffs. Perhaps, the officer had some drugs to plant. AMAZING.
The taxpayers of Wasilla won’t be happy with the lawsuit settlement or jury trial award. The cop needs to be fired. Eleven years of experience and he acts like this? He has been getting away with illegal crap far too long.
Cop – “I have people fight me all the time.”. If that is your typical approach, it is no wonder why. Walked up to the man, asked if he had any weapons on him, and immediately took him to ground.
This kind of treatment by the police will never stop until we abolish or at the very least modify the concept of qualified immunity. we have all Been watching this for years and it doesn’t change. Why should it? There is no incentive on the part of the police to change their behavior because the municipalities are picking up the cost. So we had all better just get used to this brutality from the police, because it’s not going to change it’s just going to get worse.
Gets out of the patrol car, asked if he has any weapons on him and then proceeds to assault him by throwing him on the cement. Walks him over to the patrol car and detains him. Then, and only then, does the officer conduct an interview. Guilty until proven innocent. Not only should he have never been given a badge, he certainly should have lost it after an internal investigation. Nor should ever be allowed to pocess a badge in the future. The only reason that man was treated so blatantly disrespectful was because he was black. Period. And it’s instances like this that CRT is meant to address. The protestors mistreatment occurred because of a lack of CRITICAL THINKING on the part of someone the public had put their trust in to uphold the rule of law. 🤬
Witness to police assault of another citizen demands name/badge and is told he does not deserve info…witness responds with “I am a citizen you are a police officer and you are required to provide name &badge upon request!”
Cops should not be able to turn off their sound or body cams!
This cop was wrong from the second he put his hands on this man who is exercising his first Amendment right to protest. The cop knew he was wrong and that is evidenced by the fact he lied to this man saying he tried to resist, then question the man without giving him his Miranda rights, gets butt hurt when he has to let him go and never apologized for the “miscommunication,” then lies again to the bystander who ask what was going on. You are a public servant receiving public funds to protect and SERVE the public. Your calls for that SERVICE and your conduct are public record and you know it. You’re a very thin-skinned white cop that assaulted a black man and couldn’t justify it. And when the black GENTLEMAN (who’s hella smarter than u) called you out on it, you stuck your tail between your legs and got tf out of there as quick as you could. Cops like you are the very reason people don’t and shouldn’t trust the police. The laws and rights of people are documented in books and case law. They are intentionally not left to the opinions of a ignorant and deluded policeman on a power trip. To the victim in this video… sir I sincerely hope this 8 minutes made you a millionaire.

Cops want to turn cop watching into organized crime, but can they get away with it?

Are Texas police laying the groundwork to thwart cop watchers by sending them to jail for simply using cellphone cameras to film them? This is the serious question raised by a series of charges that accuse a group of Texas cop watchers of engaging in organized crime. In this episode of the Police Accountability Report, hosts Taya Graham and Stephen Janis investigate the basis for the accusations and possible consequences for the First Amendment, YouTube activism, and the future of citizen auditing, and speak to one of the men facing decades in jail for filming police to understand just how far police will go to evade accountability.

6 Cops Lose Qualified Immunity in Lawsuit – For Not Understanding Basic Law

“HES STILL TALKING! HES STILL TALKING!!” Almost like they’ve never heard of the Constitution before…
Respect Mr Wood for standing up for his rights. The fact that he had to seek an appeal shows how some Judges, who have time to research the law, can still be as corrupt as local Law Enforcement.
What is insane is this happened 6 years ago and it’s still not resolved, that is the definition of a broken system if I ever saw one
Let’s hope this sets a precedence about the blatant misuse of “qualified immunity”!!! This is one of the biggest problems with police today! Their blatant disregard for we the people where they break laws and violate our rights with impunity!
5:32 “Sarge, what are we doing, he’s talking the whole way out the door?”. In other words, he’s using his 1st amendment rights as he’s advocating for the constitution, should we arrest him? Has to be the most egregious and asinine shyt I’ve ever heard from another officer.
The fact that the department still defends their actions is troubling to me and indicates as an entire department, they are unqualified to do their jobs. This seems to be a case for the Justice Dept. to step in and take over the department, since the department has chosen to admit that they are either unaware of the constitution or unwilling to support it. They have admitted guilt to the public.
So let me get this straight, they want to arrest him for wearing a shirt and talking while leaving like he was asked? When did wearing a shirt become against the law? How do they not understand the damn Constitution? The pride and ego of these officers is just mind blowing… What’s so funny is their actions just proved why he wore the shirt that he did so they actually proved his point…
3 courts heard all arguments and only 1 took into consideration all facts and circumstances revolving around this incident. Fair and equal, or justly corrupt? You take what you will from having 2 different courts attempt to summarize punishment enforced on those who willingly conduct themselves as tyrants, only to have 1 man never back down and prove just how deep their tarnished code runs.
That is so pathetic and terrifying at the same time, that the sheriffs office think they did nothing wrong by violating a citizens God given protected rights.
It’s sad that these egregious cases have to move so high up in the courts to be appropriately adjudicated. This was an absolute slam dunk violation yet the DA’s and lower court judges conspire to deny the blatant, obvious criminality of the LEO’s in the hopes that the average citizen will give up and the acts will go unpunished and unpaid.
That man is a patriot standing up to an overreaching government.
If the cops stuck to law enforcement they would be OK, but they enforce feelings and what they think are community standards and that’s where they go wrong. They don’t know the difference….escalate every situation is all they’re capable of over and over and over !
No matter which auditor’s video I watch, such video taken in any number of states from coast to coast, the general ignorance of the average police officer when it comes to Constitutional rights is appalling. Such ignorance has to be a major contributing factor leading to the disconnect between law-abiding citizens and police personnel across the country. It is, in some cases, downright scary.

5 1/2 years and no resolution?! Our Justice system has a HUGE problem.
I’m a retired cop. I can tell you that years ago my training officer told me to develop some seriously thick skin!! I was taught to uphold the laws and not let my feelings (or anyone else’s) get the better of me. In turn, I trained my rookies in the same manner I was trained. I can honestly tell you I never made an arrest because my feelings or anyone else’s may have been bruised. I never let my ego get the better of me. Did I make mistakes; of course but I learned from them but at my expense and not at the expense of a citizen. I wish him all the luck with his legal action against the officers and the department. Take them for all they’re worth and continue to stand up cor your rights!

Ah,so glad to hear this!! If they would learn the laws and uphold those laws everything would be ok. But no! END QUALIFIED IMMUNITY!! I don’t understand how the lower courts constantly get it wrong!
Notice how long it’s taken this one to progress through the courts? Happened in 2016 and it’s now finally making its way to court to be tried!
Imagine if he was black.
