In the original version we suggested that the Bt corn that killed monarch caterpillars was taken off the market as a direct result of studies demonstrating its harm. But although the corn was eventually taken off the market, the company that made it later told us it was phased out “for business reasons”, such as declining sales — and they did not mention the dead butterflies.

Grizzly–polar bear hybrid

grizzly–polar bear hybrid (also named grolar bear or pizzly bear[1][2] or nanulak) is a rare ursid hybrid that has occurred both in captivity and in the wild. In 2006, the occurrence of this hybrid in nature was confirmed by testing the DNA of a unique-looking bear that had been shot near Sachs HarbourNorthwest Territories on Banks Island in the Canadian Arctic.[3]
