Defining the Gospel has become a very debated and divisive question among Christians because the way we define the Gospel dictates the entire scope and emphasis of the Christian faith. How we live, how we engage the world, what we believe our purpose and mission to be—all of these are determined by our understanding of the Gospel that Jesus and his Apostles proclaimed.
This message explains why we have so many competing definitions, and then searches the Scriptures for clarity. The sermon is organized into four parts:
1. “Gospel” Defined – What does the word actually mean and how was it used before Christianity?
2. Gospel Explained – How did the Apostle Paul explain his message in 1 Corinthians 15?
3. Gospel Proclaimed – How was the Gospel preached in the book of Acts by Jesus’ followers?
4. So What? – Having arrived at a Biblical understanding of the Gospel, what are the implications for our lives?

We had some fun with her endorsement of Donald Trump on Wednesday morning, and by Wednesday night, Stephen Colbert did the same. On the “Late Show,” Colbert first thanked his lucky stars Palin was back on the scene — labeling her the (joke) “Material Girl” — and then delivering his own rendition of a Palin endorsement speech, complete with the unique style mentioned above (this part starts at about the 4 minute mark).

His formulation implies that for the police to do their jobs, they need to have free rein to be abusive. It also implies that the public would be safer if Americans with cellphones never started circulating videos of officers battering suspects in the first place.

This is why crime is rampant in poor Black neighborhoods and not that police officers are afraid to do their jobs. If you believe that you could become the subject of their rage rather than the criminal you called about then you do not call the police. You take your chances with the criminals who you live with everyday. It makes the idea of becoming part of the gang more appealing.
