You’re Detained On The Suspicion of Being Suspicious

Officer, he’s not refusing anything. He’s declining. There is a massive difference that most law enforcement seem to ignore, or dismiss for personal gain.

“We haven’t figured out that you haven’t committed a crime yet.” Guilty until proven innocent. America.
If you don’t feel comfortable as a police officer with people taking pictures in public on public property, turn in your badge.
I’m loving that there is auditors being born and out there everywhere more and more . love it
One of the most articulate arguments I have ever heard from an auditor. It was a privilege listening to him.
Ladies and Gentlemen behold the Maestro at the top of his game. Pay attention to the questions that Phillip asked the cops and the statements that Phillip makes. Phillip doesn’t feed these cops the rope to hang themselves with the cops snatch the rope out of Phillips hands and hang themselves.
Never seen a group of armed men be so paranoid and scared of everything. What an embarrassment
The biggest mistake the auditor made was not saying “I’m exercising my First Amendment right” in response to the “what are you doing?” question. Specifically stating that you’re exercising a right, such as your right to remain silent, is useful (and sometimes required) when defending against charges or suing for violations. He did say it eventually, right at the end, but the earlier, the better.
I have wondered something for a while. Why is it the police seem to believe it’s illegal not to provide ID when asked. It’s almost as if they do not know how to read the laws in their area or state. Perhaps Qualified immunity should be removed for everyone in cases of clear abuse of power. I bet that would cause them to think twice
In almost every one of these videos, when boss man comes and restrains his dogs, there is never an apology for violating your rights, or treating like a POS!
Another cop that can’t distinguish between what they “Need” and what they “Want.”
That officer needs retraining immediately. He KNOWS he’s right… even though he’s wrong..
Thanks for the shoutout! You’ll have to forgive me, this was my VERY FIRST audit. I was nervous as hell, hence the long-windedness and still talking after saying I was going to remain silent. Needless to say, if i had to do this all over again, it would go markedly differently knowing what I know now. Live and learn.
I so wish the auditors would ask” So you are now releasing me from the illegal detention?” Get them to admit they knew it was illegal.
I’m impressed with the officer’s use of the word ‘disingenuous’….but, overall, this is one of those videos that will launch the careers of 1000 new auditors….I wonder when LEOs will realize that it’s their own conduct that is bringing the scrutiny they detest so much.
What on earth do they teach them about ID’ing the public. They’re all nuts and really badly trained.
Even IF this photographer provided his ID which indicated to the police he had a rap sheet the length of a city block, it still doesn’t provide any evidence of a crime. This is all about information gathering to enter you into the system to build a future case against you…
