I’m managing multiple software teams and as long as the job is getting done my teammates might as well be on the moon, I don’t care and if it’s not getting done, it’s not because people are working remotely, it’s because I failed to support them.

Companies outsource labor when they think it will save them money; it doesn’t matter if you’ve never missed a day at the office in 10 years or if you’ve been working for them via Microsoft Teams for 10 years. This guy is trying to sell the myth that layoffs can be avoided based on loyalty and hard work, which is financially false.
