Is there any correlation between genius and autism?

Yes. A surprisingly high proportion of geniuses have autism of the mild familial variety. This may be because the genes that predispose towards autism are known to increase intelligence.

Such families typically have members with other neurodevelopmental disorders — ADHD, schizophrenia, BPD, what have you.

That said, it’s important to realize that the vast majority of autistic people aren’t geniuses, or anything like. Geniuses are a tiny minority of both the autistic and neurotypical populations. But, in general, autistic people are more likely than neurotypicals to be at the lower and upper reaches of intelligence.
