Cop Tries To Harass Black College Student But Gets Owned And Taught The Law

I’m convinced the first rule in the cop handbook is “Never admit fault.”
You’re being “hostile” when you don’t let them violate your rights. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Classic.
Calling the man “creepy” trying to insult him to get a rise, top quality police
As a former Union Agent representing law enforcement I can say without a doubt most of my time was taken up by officers or deputies that have taken their authority and abused it in this same manner. They harass the wrong person and that triggers a formal complaint to Internal Affairs. And bingo we have a professional law enforcement officer on leave pending investigation. In this specific instance this officer isn’t enforcing the law, he’s enforcing his ego.
It’s shocking how the officer picks on him and so many students are walking by in the video at 2am in the morning.
The male cop says the black man being out at that time of the night is odd, yet several people walk by at different times during the interaction. College students are always out at all times of the night!
The fact that the couple falsely accuses him of being hostile shows that this is something they do to try to justify their next deadly action
“You we’re hiding in the bushes” at what point was he hiding in the bushes lol!
This young man was not behind the bushes, he was in plain sight. And while I’m watching this there’s so many people out and about walking around at two whatever in the morning. They just want to harass him. I’m proud of this young man for standing his ground.
He wanted to arrest him so bad “when you’re going to jail it is gonna be real funny
“I don’t know why you’re being so difficult” “I don’t know why you’re trying to violate my rights”
Notice… this man played him… and didn’t say a SINGLE curse word… didn’t cuss him out or nothing. Just taught him a BIG lesson!
This is a perfect example of cops sticking up for cops even when they know they are wrong. And she is a sergeant. Both of them should be fired for harassing a member of the public.
Much respect to the Brother keeping his cool and demonstrating how the police will lie and still keep their jobs.
I wish we could see them driving away. The UNCG code of conduct is online. It took me 1 minute to search for identification. Nowhere does it say you have to produce ID except in a hearing.
It makes me sick when police start pulling that “get your hands out of your pockets” bull sht.
You know when a cop either says here’s how it’s going to go or here’s the deal, that they are about to violate your rights
It might be beneficial to us all if Cops actually had a collage education.
If he didn’t have that camera running it would have gone a completely different way. ALWAYS RECORD any involvement with LEOs.
“We The People” Seeing an ex cop run this channel appropriately is proof that people that stand up for their rights aren’t anti goverment. Just “Pro, good government “ Cool channel.
You see how he assumed he wasn’t a student, I wonder why? Smh
I like the part where the officer says “if a school administrator asks for your ID, you must provide it”. He’s not a f-ckin administrator.
I think he did the right thing by getting back in front of his camera for his protection
>> Definitely! Especially, when that cop started lieing and said ” Take your hands out of your pockets “, trying to set up a defense for doing something to him! I’m glad the young man recognized what he was trying to do!

>> I agree when the cop started saying keep your hands out your pockets off camera who knows what would of happened. He was walking backwards to his car..lol ..WTF what a !!COWARD

>> Absolutely! I was getting concerned about that also. That cop definitely tried to begin a narrative the he was doing something, anything wrong. Kudos for following through bru!
The crazy thing about some of these cops is they have gotten away with things like this in the past. If it wasnt on camera he would have been arrested and the story would have been different. you see how he stated you were in the bushes, what “THESE” people do at times. Not all, not all, but a lot of them. It’s in them
My handsome black brother,👏🏾 thank you for standing on right. That man who calls himself a cop, is a joke. I hope this gets seen by all my black brothers who don’t know their rights and learns them to stop this tyranny in this country. Great job!
Kudos to this guy! I thoroughly enjoyed watching him calmly and confidently exercising his rights! It sucks that the supervisor that showed up couldn’t just admit the first cop was wrong and just leave this guy alone. This is another good reason why cops get a bad wrap.
It’s hard to stand your ground sometimes, especially if you have things to do, they will argue with you for hours instead of just saying they’re wrong and letting you go.
It is so scary to see this. If the supervisor didnt show up in time he could have been both tasered and arrested on false accusations.
Hate when cops ask “why are you being difficult?”! He is being difficult because you are trying to violate his 4th amendment rights and you’re abusing your power in a situation where you have no authority. Also, school policy (code of conduct) doesn’t trump the constitution, he doesn’t need to show ID even if the cop found the “code”.
This is probably the best video I’ve seen of this type. He successfully made the cops look like a complete clown. “Keep your hands out of your pockets” he should be fired just for that.
It’s wonderful that the brother knew his rights, but he shouldn’t have gone back and forth with the cop, because some cops would’ve concocted some fictitious story, and felt threatened based on the argument which could’ve led to the young man being killed. The brother has the recording which will serve as permissible evidence in Court, or to the Dean/Student Affairs, provide the handbook to the proper representatives at the institution showing the bylaws causing him to lose his job, and lastly file a harassment suit. I’ve seen black men who know the law, and are in law school encounter this same problem, but you just have to think about things from a precautionary standpoint. I was in this same situation, and took legal action based on my understanding of the law. I received a settlement, and the officer was demoted three times, and fired once I spoke and sufficient evidence was provided to substantiate my claim.
Has a cop ever talked without lying? Non-stop lies from beginning to end. Tyrant.
These public officials seem to be drunk on their perceive authority. Thank goodness for the first amendment auditors that bring the ignorance of these public servants to the forefront for all to see.
Love how there’s literally a truck full of ppl in the back and this is the person he choose to harass. Just pathetic and unacceptable
Good job. Lots of NC folk comply with Law Enforcement whether they’re right or wrong especially if they (the citizen) is black. I encourage everyone to exercise their rights but most won’t , even the young (I’m 55) but I’m glad this brother did…
Cops love to say “why you so hostile?” Lmao okay dude.
I’m pro law enforcement but both cops were fighting for dominance and their behavior was strictly driven by their ego. The student gets a grand slam as he handled this perfectly, wittingly, humorously and very smoothly. Nice job!
I love this guy, he knows his shit! Cops need to learn, sometimes, just walk away and drop it, it is not worth the fight.
The funny part is you’re going to leave either way” bro, that got me so good!
That young man clowned him and took away his perceived authority while having fun with it. The point is the young man knew the laws and his rights. He had a quick counter for everything officer ” I’m going to assert some authority on you ” presented.
It’s sad to see and hear in almost all of these cases the sheer amount of ego hunting and zero intelligence of the letter of the law!
How sick our these control freaks?
I love when cops say “why are you been difficult” when they are violating your rights. A good cop that covers or standby for a bad cop is as bad.
5:18 “I don’t know why you’re being so hostile.” I really hate it when they pull these petty moves.
Why is it that the police find it impossible to just go without giving advice or attempting to get you to comply with something!😂
Another cop that doesn’t know the laws he’s supposed to upload but harrasses and makes up lies to justify trying to violate this mans right to record in public. The lady cop is just as wrong for attempting to back her fellow officer and they should both be charged with harrassment, or any other violation we can make up…like they do.
Cop “I‘m trying to help you out” how is trying to get his ID and threatening to arrest him helping him out?
He really really wanted to take him to jail he would do anything to take him to jail if this man was not recording he would be in jail and I’m 95% sure that that officer fabricate as much lies as he possibly can to keep this man in jail just because he was “defiant“ he was doing what he should challenge the law in the correct way what a looser
So the sergeant comes and explains that everything he’s doing is perfectly legal with the photography and all but then she starts the cops explaining. Then she starts the bullying. I need you to move over here 20 ft over here so that you’re on a different property even though it’s all public property but I have to flex my muscles and tell you what to do otherwise you’re a free person walking around in a free area and we certainly cannot have that.
Shout out to the brother. I hope he’s still safe and standing up for our rights! ✊🏾 And ffs 2am is early on a college campus on the weekend. Clearly a big party or event just happened.
The pettiness is what really got me.
Police officers often enjoy to assert their power and more often than not, they end up looking foolish while attempting to violate citizens rights.
There was nothing hostile about this young man. He just knew his rights. Police are never on your side and will use your information against you.
Man bro I love when cops get taught the law they’re supposed to know then try to pull the power play move
This is extremely frightening to me how uneducated the officers are.
The amount of ignorance in these LEOs…..astonishing, yet sadly not unexpected.
Now She’s doing the “Police Culture ” Thing by trying to save face and be in Authority!😔🙄
I think it’s funny when these cops say, I’m telling you, no matter what you must obey!
Lmao I love how this dude laughs at how stupid situation that he’s in. Full Respect XD
I love how they try to grab control of the situation when they have been upped! We know why he was stopped. Look, I don’t have time to argue with a rent-a-cop, either arrest me or leave me the hell alone. My mans said he was “behind the bushes.” LMAO
This was beyond beautiful! Bravo to this young man! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Racial profiling. Glad I saw this, I live in NC… very familiar with the campus. I’ll be sure not to allow my daughter transfer here. I was worried the boss would be in the same bs and she was…. The first officer was a straight up liar like most of them are…trust me I know. Just separated from NCDPS. Wicked and corrupt bunch of people.
Cop is a butt-hurt liar. He said he would “arrest” him if he didn’t ID, and yet NO ID, no arrest.
I love the fact that you always remind people to learn their rights. I’m gonna go review right now matter of fact. Would I have left? Prolly… Fact is the police terrify me. I’ve been afraid of the police since I was six years old. I’ve been living in a nation under terror for thirty years. The problem is, in a court of law, the police are automatically above any suspicion, as though police are never criminals. The police almost never report crimes committed by other members of law enforcement, and there were even police that actually operated as a gang. Gang mentality needs to go. Get it out of America. How? Get rid of stupid laws. Legalization of most drugs requiring addicts seek their drugs from a federally mandated facility where no one will ever overdose, no poison will be in the drugs and tax dollars can be collected instead of spent locking them up. Furthermore addicts would be exposed to narcotics anonymous literature et cetera, and drugs would become affordable so crime would decrease further. Hands and mobs, having nothing to sell, would be forced to go back to gambling, rackets etc, or go out of business altogether. So locking people for drug addiction and start treating them. They’re just people who either want to party, or are suffering. Why is that illegal? If we followed the letter of the law every single American would spend several lifetimes in prison. The average American commits three felonies EVERY DAY without even realizing it.
I don’t know why you’re being so difficult and hostile” “You’re behind the bushes” “Student code of conduct says to provide your ID”. The mental gymnastics of police officers is crazy.
Both the cop and sergeant didn’t know the law. Mind boggling as to how they think that they can manipulate the law and try to threaten him with an arrest. Gosh this student was one articulate, brave and fierce guy. He just had no time for their bullshit.
Great video. I laughed several times – especially when he kept asking if the cop was mad.
It would have been absolutely perfect if dude ended up letting the cop know he was studying to be a civil rights attorney. Lmao. Oh man that would have been perfect!
The Cop “knows” he’s right, yet 1st he said the Man, or according to Cops, the “Suspect”, wasn’t a student, then, he said he was, then he said he knew the Law, Yet, at NO time, did he arrest the “Suspect”. 2 Cops for about a half hour, for a DEADLY situation, like this. We don’t have enough of these Brave Heroes out there, and we Clearly need to Hire more.
Great video!!!! Can you do a video explaining what would happen in this same exact case if the officer decided to push his authority and falsely arrest him? What would this young man go through after being arrested? A ride to jail and time wasted seeing a judge that decides he was in the right over the officer? And then what most likely would happen to the officer for not knowing the law and possibly just knowing a policy that has no weight to the law?
“Either way you’re gonna get in your car and leave” , had me LOL.. You crushed em dude. Good going!
What a wonderful young man. They really are relentless lying demons and they took so much of his time. Harassment, absolute harassment, they really should be punished for this.
So when you disagree with a cop you’re being difficult even though the cop is wrong and you were right.
Are these real cops? Or rental cops? The “lady cop” is reaching, by telling him where he can and can not film. These cops need to look for the real bad guys!! Go away little cops, go away!!!!! Lol!!! He states he is not “mad”!!!
It is so nice and refreshing to live in a country where you can walk, drive any time night or day and the cops would not stop you and ask for I D,even when they stop you for traffic violation they dont demand you to get out of the car and handcuffs you..
No matter how much these cops get proven wrong. They can’t help themselves but they give some kind of directive, they have to boss somebody around and express their perceived authority onto others. And if we don’t listen they get so butt hurt
How hard is it for cops to just walk away and say have a nice day? Children just refuse to be wrong
Cops keep referring to the school’s Code of Conduct, but initially the first officer demanded to see his I.D. when he assumed that the man “wasn’t” a student !
Officer: “ it’s strange to be out here at 2:00 in the morning”
30 other people proceed to walk by.
The sad part is he really wanted him to go to jail for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! I hope his superior reprimanded him

He called the cops bluff when he said, he was going to arrest him. The cop back peddled, and tried a different tactic. Good for this man for standing up for his rights. The extraordinary length these cops go to, to have some measure of control over this man is ridiculous!
I love when people excercing their rights is not cooperating and being suspicious. It’s not a law no matter what. It’s code of conduct. You know they’d just arrest if they were right.
Be very careful of the advice you give on this platform! Being correct and surviving are not always synonymous! He was lucky…. to be on University property and a University student. What if someone in this comment section attempt to do the same thing except there are no witnesses around? Potentially end imprisoned on false charges or dead. YES… Stand up for your rights…but be smart about it. If you know your rights are being violated, and you’re recording…. COMPLY with the Officer… and get home safe!!! THEN get in contact with an attorney and file charges against the Officers involved AND the department. You will not win on the side of the road….let the attorney win in court!!!
>> Now that Officer did violate that students 4th Amendment Rights. The Sgt. Knew her Officer was wrong…and she still tried to cover for him. Comply…make it home alive… then contact an attorney. That’s the smartest approach.
When a cop tries to get someone to move a few feet it’s about one thing, control. Honestly, in this case what does it matter other than ego?
Clown tried to frame the guy outside of the view of the camera by asking him to stand outside of the view while insinuating that the man had something dangerous in his hands.
Legend has it that the cop is still out there looking for the rule to this day..
So, do rights go away after a certain time of the night? Am I ok to film from 7am to 9pm but 9pm to 7am it’s against the law?? It is SO scary how many cops don’t know the laws they are supposed to enforce.
“We’re definitely not trying to violate your rights, we just really want to violate your rights.” – Female cop.
The cop was difficult, but tells the student he’s being difficult. What an a hole.
It would be so nice if the public was allowed to question these cops and their superiors in public on camera for everyone to see and hear, as to why they do what they do , why they violate peoples rights , why they lie , why they cover up and their superiors should answer to why they just get pushed around from one precinct to the next and they’re not dealt with especially when they have so many complaints and their superiors should also answer the question as to why these cops are never properly trained and that the public knows more about the law more then the cops do…
As a white woman, I don’t know all these rights either. I’ve been stopped many times too…. BUT I’m always compliant. I believe you live longer that way. On the other hand, not knowing our rights is why we have lost SO many of our freedoms. Kudos to knowing your rights!!!
Police officer: I don’t understand why you’re being hostile/difficult. Translation: I don’t understand why you’re not allowing me to violate your rights.
The officer said that he was hiding behind a bush.He was standing out front on the sidewalk, even the cop noticed that before he got out of his car.Wow smh
He still violated his 4th amendment right when he looked in his bag. 🤦🏾‍♂
It blows my mind how many officers use that “why you being difficult” when a person quotes his rights and stands up to the cops tyrant ways!
Standing up for your rights is hostile Standing up for your rights is being difficult
I’ll be honest with you years ago I would have just shown my ID and been bullied but nowadays after watching Auditors and videos like this I have learned a lot and I appreciate it. no more getting bullied by the cops and record everything and don’t talk to them. Thanks
Guy approaches a man minding his own business, demands he leave, demands he ID, demands he explain himself, accuses him of hiding “behind bushes” and of possibly being a sexual assaulter… Then questions why he’s so hostile.
🤣 she tried to at least get one up on him. “You have to stand over here for us.” Umm no I don’t. Haha Well done. 👏🏽
This student stood his ground and left unscathed. It makes me wonder if he is in his United States or North Korea. This overreach by cops needs to be corrected..their threats of arrest are limiting freedom of movement of law abiding citizens. Unless there is a law enforced curfew you cannot stop a person from being out of his/her home/place of residence at any time. This is control without consent.
At the school I attended COC did indeed list showing your student I.D. to security and cops. Nevertheless, there’s a lot of people walking back and forth, so how is he unusual or suspicious? Besides, why sets up a camera on a main road if you intends to commit a crime?
The officer backed up like he was going to be attacked. The SKIN COLOR of the student to the officer is a threat. The officer is TROUBLE.
2 years to become a hairdresser, 6 months to become a cop. What do you expect
This is why there are so many innocent people in prison. Thank God everyone has a camera now to record their own evidence.
” we are definitely not trying to violate your rights” while we keep demanding your papers
I love how when they’re talking a group of people across the street are walking by you can’t make this shit up
Cops in the USA seem to confuse a hunch with suspicion, something your supreme courts have actually described in various rulings very specifically to be different, what the difference is and why it matters. Im European and even I know that.
Kudos to this young man however he could have exercised his 5th Amendment right to not talk to the police. What boggles my mind are campus cops who think a state university, with an ELECTED board of Regents, like a city council, is private property or as if it’s somehow restricted. With VERY few exceptions a public university’s campus sidewalks and streets are always open to the public. That university sidewalk IS A PUBLIC SIDEWALK and ignorant cops like this one doesn’t have the authority to kick someone off a public sidewalk.
This was a great project. It basically shows how the ego of the average cop won’t let them admit when there wrong and how there training and initiation for the suppose greater good has failed when the other cop cared more about protecting the other cops feelings over the rights of others (the greater good)
Scariest thing is the baseless warnings the two cops kept hurling at this student and they kept telling him that he did something wrong even though they knew that they had absolutely no “Reasonable – Articulable- Suspicion”. Both of these cops are on ego trips. End Qualified Immunity Nationally Now!

Good Citizens Stop Lazy Officer From Arresting the Wrong Teens

That lady kept the peace and did more investigating than the cops. She asked if she could have them leave with her. When the cops refused, she went and grabbed the witness to identify that it wasnt those boys. She, and only she, not the cops deescalated that situation.

[bg_collapse view=”button-orange” color=”#4a4949″ expand_text=”Show More” collapse_text=”Show Less” ]

As a lawyer, I can confirm that this channel’s explanations of different laws isn’t an easy thing to do and is EXTREMELY time consuming.

Bystander woman gets an A++, for recognizing that the lazy police work was going to lead to an injustice, and getting involved. Then proceeding actually investigate, and bring a peaceful resolution.

Huge round of applause for all of the concerned citizens who stood up for those kids. I can only imagine the outcome had they not been there. 👏👏👏👏

Isn’t it ashamed that the citizens have to keep innocent children safe from police officers 👮‍♀️? Let that sink in.
Manager: it wasn’t them Cop: wanna press charges anyways? Somebody felt embarrassed enough to ask a retaliation question.
Love how after the manager confirms that the boys aren’t the ones who caused the disturbance the cop still asks if he can trespass them 😂 he’s like come on bro please let me arrest these kids, they didn’t lick my boots

  • Toward the end he says he commends the bystanders for ensuring the “teens are safe”. I agree, but what does it say about the state of policing that random strangers have to intervene to keep teens safe from our police.
  • Failure to identify yourself while on-duty should result in a citizens arrest for impersonating a police officer.
  • There’s something about the mix of authority with pride that just won’t ever let cops admit to being wrong, and instead of doing so they escalate what would otherwise be simple altercations that can be fixed with a few basic questions
  • That lady is an effing ANGEL! She literally saved these kids lives tonight.
  • The cop ignoring to say his name and badge number is already a red flag. He knew he screwed up
  • The fact that one of the officers, EVEN AFTER BEING TOLD IT WAS NOT THEM, asked the manager if he wanted them trespassed says a lot about them. They wanted to hem these teens up regardless.
  • Prime example of power hunger. “You don’t obey me? You’re going in cuffs!” Like, is this a common basic training of police dept everywhere?
  • It’s honestly so good that the bystanders were there bc a lot of times cops will see a group of young kids and assume they don’t know their rights and will push their authority because they feel they can get away with it, they would have undoubtably taken the kid in cuffs away I feel like if they weren’t there
  • Good job lady. Those young men deserved an apology from the police.
  • I love how the cops constantly speak for the manager (“he doesn’t want to come out”, “he said you were causing trouble”) but then the nice lady brings him out and contradicts them completely
  • When you call cops out on their incompetence it’s like reflex for them to double down and do almost anything to protect their precious ego!
  • I love that people are finally learning the laws and knowing their rights. It makes it so much more difficult for these tyrants to bully people into compliance. Know your rights.
  • “I am doing my job right” – The cop who just unlawfully arrested a teen because he wasn’t doing his job right.
  • Good for these young men for remaining calm and just dealing with it these seem like the type of officers itching to escalate a minor offense.
  • Imagine if there wasn’t any bystanders or cameras. Improvising and issuing false charges as they please is their expertise
  • Even if the Officers were agents of the Property, the bystander asked, “Have they been asked to leave?” Cop, “We’re asking them to leave.” Bystander, “So are they free to leave?” Cop, “no.” Lol
  • Love how the manager says how the perpetrators were probably long gone. Like a slap in the face to the cops lol
  • I hope the families take them to court. This whole situation was uncalled for. I’m very proud of the way the boys handled themselves. They stayed calm and self-controlled. I’m so thankful that there were others there with the intent to help them. It must be very humiliating to arrest someone and then have to take the cuffs off because you were wrong. You’re supposed to get information first; not arrest first.
  • 13:30 [cops] “seemed to be willing to arrest the teens for no apparent reason” That’s because the cops’ bonus depends on how many arrests they make. This is NOT the right motive to arrest someone. Notice that the cops actively resisted getting the manager to confirm/deny the identity of the teens.
  • So there’s a little known thing about night shift policing, it’s called spend the rest of the night at the station and it basically entails making any arrest, booking the suspect and filing the necessary paperwork and ensures you don’t have to spend the rest of the night patrolling in a smelly old patrol unit…just saying.
  • “Lazy investigative tactics” – the mantra of the modern police department. “I don’t need to investigate the crime if I can get the suspect to say something incriminating… or just get them to let me violate their rights.”
  • Maaaan…. We all know that something shady was going on here. Simply due to the fact that the officer was so against simply asking the manager if these kids were indeed the correct party he had pointed out earlier.
  • You’re not doing your job right said by the young men is accurate.
    • But they are doing their job their job is to put people in jail especially if they’re in an area where it’s a profit jail
    • I love these videos! I wish police departments would use these videos for training. I really hate the level of ego and lack of humility to serve the community. Instead of trying to deescalating the situation, they were adding fuel to a fire. Great video!!!!
    • Getting real sick of cops using, “We’re just conducting an investigation!” As an excuse to blow over people’s rights…
  • well, the police certainly did bring a community together.
  • Just for perspective on Elkhart, IN PD supervisors:
    • 82% have been disciplined
    • 44% have been suspended
    • 20% have been involved in fatal shootings
    • 8% are convicted criminals
  • “Go ask the manager …” “He’s too busy…” Turns out that was a lie, the officer was just too lazy. He’d rather jam up some kids, potentially giving innocent people a permanent record, than take 45 seconds to do the primary part of his job. What are the names of these officers?
  • Made me laugh when the cop refused to go speak to the manager, saying “He’s inside, he has a job to do” — well you have a job to do too, get to it. You can’t just go around arresting the first people you see 🤦‍♀️ And the bystanders are educating you on how the laws work. This is embarrassing.
  • So if I called the cops to report a suspicious individual who appears to be breaking into a car, cops like these could just come around and arrest the first guy they see, whether that’s my neighbor who is working on his car, or the guy who goes for walks around the neighborhood 4-5x a day? Their logic is not to initially take a witness statement or report here in this video? Jesus christ.
  • It’s kinda scary when you have a police interaction and going into it you aren’t sure if they’re going to be a good one or a bad one… or a good one who goes by the books usually but may be having a bad day.
  • Well, here it is “Guilty until proven innocent”. The only person in that police department who hasn’t been taken disciplinary action against is the janitor. These boys are VERY lucky.
  • Perfect example of how a police encounter can become resisting arrest without any other charges being filed. Well done to the bystanders.
  • 8:35 even when the officer learn he was wrong, he was still trying to arrest these kids. I wish they were as determined to find the troublemakers like they were trying to arrest those kids.

Lawn Care Owner disputes Police Detention of his Employees for Turn Signal & Failure of Passenger to ID

Intimidation, retaliation, and harassment is what you are seeing.
At the end of the day… they violated these two guys rights, on camera, detained them illegally, and searched their vehicles. NOT A THING WILL BE DONE TO REPRIMAND ANY OF THEM! Messed up that that’s the way it works.
How on earth do the cops think that once they have a traffic stop they all of a sudden think they own the street , sidewalk and everything in the area. That cop panicked and called all his boys. Thick blue line.
They never had this trouble until the cameras appeared on the scene. We demand accountablity and we will get it .
Really really sad when the SERGEANT lies about the law, worse if he is ignorant of the law.
Wow! I live in Australia and even I know that in the US you can’t demand ID from the passenger.
I spent 6 years in Germany in the United States Army. My neighbor was a German Police Officer. It takes 2 years and 6 months to become a German Police officer. They are well traine and know the law. These clowns spend 6 months and don’t have a clue.
I think after Uvalde, TX, people are waking up to this stupid “officer safety” crap. I can’t imagine being a man and being that scared. 30 years in the military with multiple combat tours and I was so confident in my training that fear never entered my mind.

I love when the cops are like “I have a camera on too”, yeah well your camera footage always seems to disappear when you do something you’re not supposed too. “Does that camera make you tough”, well no it doesn’t make me tough; it just holds you accountable when you violate rights.
It would be super interesting to find out how much physical damage has been done to property and how many people have been hurt/killed by cops unnecessarily responding Code 3. I’m sure those figures are unacceptable.
Stop telling Cops about their personal phones and doing a FOIA on them. Just do the FOIA without warning so they leave all pictures on their phones.
Surely that badged didler should know that “Step it up” is an absolute signal of escalation. It should be the equivalence to a false 911 call.
Of course they don’t want to argue when they know they are wrong. Thanks for not shaking that liar’s hand. He wasn’t your friend before during or after the stop.
14:37 is one of my new favorite moments in stupidity. Superior officer gets basic law wrong, claims passengers must ID, whips out phone, despite bodycams, in an attempt to mock the guy for also recording the interaction they caused. THEN, guys asks the other cop if he’s ignorant of that law as well, to which he cups his ear motioning that he should step closer to be heard easier, but becomes frightened when the blue collar worker takes a single step closer to oblige him so he can better hear the discourse. I have no clue what “a monkey effing a football” means, but it’s apt.
When I was younger, I used to think—Yeah , get those drug people! Now I realize it’s ONLY a revenue maker for the system, and nothing more. Citizens get treated like this, for no other purpose.
These cops are used to violate peoples rights, when they see the cameras, they don’t know what to do or how to behave. What a shame.
“We can ID an one we want.” Yes, you can also shoot anyone you want in the head, but neither crime is lawful.
SJVT: you rightly slam the cops and prosecutors, but what about the bad judges? Some are obviously in collision with this illegal enterprise. Yes, it’s a money-making business, not to mention violates rights egregiously. Please include the whole trifecta. Thanks for what you do!
No, officer in white shirt, passenger has no obligation, can’t pat him down, can’t require I.D. No I.D. IS a secondary offense that does not have to be provided unless an arrest has been made. You are absolutely correct my friend.
This video is another example of why we need to stop complaining so much about the cops….and start worrying about the REAL problem…..Cops act like this because THEY CAN….the whole system is slanted in their favor. You can see it in their reactions in this video….they laugh and smirk….the only way change is enacted is when the cops are held accountable.
The main issue I see is that cops don’t know you, instead of going to the academy maybe they should be made to visit every residence in their proposed jurisdiction and introduce themselves to each resident before starting the job? That way they’ll feel safe enough to actually do their job.
Looks like the same kind of LEO that was at Uvalde, scared of his own shadow and concerned only about himself.
What a COWARD. He could’ve gone around to the driver’s side and that would’ve solved everything. I cannot believe he called code
They always “smell” weed, yet almost never find it,
Easiest thing to say to an officer claiming “he can smell marijuana” is PROVE IT! No accusation can be enforced without evidence
The craziest part is that the officer accused him of yelling when in reality from the distance they were from each other it required speaking loudly.
Never let the cops settle out of court. Take it to trial, and make case law. When you settle, that allows them to continue their corrupt behavior
Four cops with radios, backup, cars, bulletproof vests, handguns, mace, tasers, batons, killer dogs, QUALIFIED IMMUNITY, rifles and they are TERRIFIED OF A GUY, ALONE, ON FOOT … with a CAMERA !!! WHY ? ACCOUNTABILITY
1:19 I do not see this police car using its signal while speeding thru an intersection while not being lit up. It always amazes me how these clowns are not afraid to turn their backs on anyone that “might pose a threat” to turn on others that are not a threat, while at the same time going for the kill by escalating.
Proof it’s from the top down. Since he won’t listen and agree with the manager, the manager refuses to talk about it. Very professional. In my experience you’re asking the right questions if they refuse to answer them.
Probably at least half of the force needs to be taken down you know fired because they think they can do whatever they want we’re sick of it. They can’t even write a traffic ticket without crying for backup kind of men did you hire ?? There’s a real problem with the police force a lot of people are talking about defunding.

Ignorant and Arrogant Police Brazenly Violate Law

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Note:

Several police officers take it upon themselves to detain Philip Turner to force him to produce identification, even though they tell him that they know he is a first amendment auditor.  (They disparage his YouTube legal education and tell him “this isn’t working out like you expected”.

When a cop says he’s not gonna argue with you, it’s because he knows he’s violating your rights and that he’s wrong. He’ll just throw you in a cage regardless, and let you have your day in court. Take away their precious qualified immunity, and watch the magic happen.

Comments

  • Sadly, this cop has been doing this to citizens for years, totally ignorant of the law. They, however, messed with the wrong guy.
  • I love it when an arrogant tyrant is SO sure of himself he openly mocks someone who knows the law and his mouth walks himself right off the cliff. His frequent comments about YouTube and his “I know this isn’t working out like you expected” comment is just icing on the cake. I’m having a very hard time not jumping to the original video… so I hope Part 3 is out soon! 😂😉👍
  • Wow this officer’s ignorance of the law is embarrassing and his arrogance is shameful! This video will follow him for the rest of his career.
  • I can’t imagine how many lives this cop has ruined and I hope he is no longer in a position of authority and no longer has the ability to interact with anyone.
  • The “1 bad apple” philosophy is probably the scariest part of this for me. As a sargent the amount of other officers he may have influenced is terrifying. When you multiply that exponentially to who those officers have influenced it seems the cancer of ignorance is going to spread far faster than the education he received here.
  • “Investigatively Detained?” In other words, we have no lawful reason so we’re trying to find one. 🤷
  • One of the things I love about Batman is , he is a bonafide auditor. A real auditor is never afraid of being arrested when he or she knows the law is on his/her side. Stand your ground and get paid later. What baffles me is the prosecutors who actually agree to prosecute cases like these. If a prosecutor is stupid enough to accept a case like this, he or she should be disbarred.
  • I’ve learn so much watching these videos. I’m baffled as to why there are so many audit videos showing Officers who clearly has no knowledge of the law, violating the rights of citizens and yet there has been no changes to Law Enforcement at all. There are some good cops but 95% of them are nothing more than ignorant bullies with a badge and gun.
  • Good grief, the condescending attitude is just DRIPPING off of this cop. He couldn’t be any more arrogant and aloof if he tried.
  • The “pat down” in itself is a violation of the fourth amendment. They had no ras of a crime, no ras of a weapon and no ras that you are dangerous. Therefore no lawful terry stop or terry frisk. Both are four amendment violations and the in pocket search was the third violation.
  • They are so intoxicated with their opportunity to use force, they imagine their interpretation of law is absolute.
  • I’m sure they were thinking they will record with your camera, for you, to show off that they are not kicking the crap out of you, like they normally do.
  • We will violate your rights until we get what we want …….. earning the hate
  • This man is brilliant. I don’t know how he kept a straight face knowing the ramifications of the situation and the way the officer did all of his work for him
  • 4:004:36 The cop’s rant is priceless and unfortunately for him will live forever. The level of disdain and ignorance is astounding, but unfortunately, common. The stupidity on display…..wow.
  • Qualified Immunity. That’s why they do what they do. Sovereign citizens
  • The officer’s arrogant confidence suggests the “Dunning–Kruger effect” (https://youtu.be/VyipktSZUlQ) is in play. Turner’s quiet confidence, on the other hand, demonstrates genuine competence.
  • 4:11 We all know what he meant by that. These cops are criminals/bullies with badges.
  • So this officer is essentially saying he’s been violating citizens rights a lot longer than you’ve been exercising yours. What a damn shame. Hopefully his retirement is right around the corner!
  • They knew who he was.! Was clearly a violation of his rights! It was totally because they knew he is a 1st amendment auditor and are trying to punish him.
  • I love how this ignorant cop keeps saying he’s not going to argue Or debate this, because at the end of the day he knows he’s wrong.
  • It’s amazing how confident he is, I’ve never seen someone so confident that they are completely right but in reality he’s 100% wrong.
  • He keeps telling the other officers to do the stuff he wants to do. Wtf. Do it yourself. You afraid of losing that qualified immunity?
  • suspicion is not a crime and filming in public has been deemed, by the supreme court, a non-suspicious activity and protected under the law and constitution.
  • I think the reason these cops were so bold and seemed to relish helping you record had nothing to do with them understanding ANY of your rights…in my opinion it’s all about them believing they can get away with anything they do!
  • He doesn’t want to argue or debate, because he knows he will lose. I would love to read every cops report on this incident? I wonder how many lies!
  • I am always amazed at how good auditors stay so completely calm. I hope you end up with a civil rights case because when these just go away by having a complaint go into a file things won’t ever change
  • It’s refreshing to see this police officer inform you of who you are and what you’re all about involving YouTube just to get clicks and views can’t wait for part 3
  • Love your break down. You’d think the cops would use this as a training video, but they are too arrogant, and too stupid to learn from their bountiful lies, violations of TX law and violations of Tx penal code.
  • After years of getting glee watching some cop watchers, 1A auditors, and then getting burned out and getting irritated with it all, I can say Battousai stands the test of time. No one being honest can say he’s being problematic, he is straight forward and as Texans would say a “straight shooter”. In fact, if I were to hear he resisted or was combative or inflammatory I would know it’s horse shit. Batman is an S tier auditor/cop watcher.
  • This is the type of cop that they need to use as an example make an example out of him by firing him if he doesn’t know the law
  • He literally admitted that he has been violating rights longer than you have been doing youtube.
  • They think they’re not giving you want you want just because they’re not being physically violent.
  • As a veteran I was fortunate to be able to serve overseas going to Kuwait and patrolling the boarder to Iraq. I’m proud to have served to protect our country and constitution and what it stands for and if it means anything to you, I’m proud of you too. You’re professionalism and bearing exuded towards these bullies is commendable . I want to thank you for your service. Respect…
  • I’m uncomfortable with how he’s feeling you up. Why he keep touching your junk again and again
  • They just know they aren’t accountable for breaking the law and or violating the people’s civil rights. that’s why they recorded this interaction with your own cell, it’s a way of saying we’re above the law and there’s nothing you can do about it. BULLIES WITH A BADGE.
  • What a pack of cowards! Afraid of one unarmed man, that they feel they need to lock his arms behind his back. Pure cowardice.
  • I’m sure they were thinking they will record with your camera, for you, to show off that they are not kicking the crap out of you, like they normally do.
  • Guaranteed these same cops are doing exactly the same today to people who don’t know their rights
  • They’re just not smart enough to figure it out, and knowing there will be no consequences for their actions, there’s no reason to waste their time learning it. Harass, violate, repeat.
  • Once they start, their ego will not allow them to back down. They will keep trying to get you to willingly ID. Please never ID when you know there is no law broken.
  • Unbelievable he‘s holding you hostage they’re not taking you to jail they’re holding you hostage in their car until you ID to them wow the corruption is thick in the officers listening to this bullies orders will soon will regret it
  • This totally validated the Auditing community for doing what they do. There is a very strong need to fix what we see here. Cops either totally not knowing the law or cops totally violating peoples rights thinking it will be with impunity.
  • ID is like crack to a cop. Haha. Good one. I’ve always wondered how an ID helps their investigation 99% of the time.
  • I’ve been watching these videos now for like 4 years I have not seen one cop especially the ones who said they know the law better than you who actually knows the law what is the ignorance where does it come from their schooling their training their pride their what????!!!
  • To think you can identify a guy for filming and that’s suppose to let you know what he’s doing 😆 strip a law abiding citizen of his freedom because they feel like it smh
  • It’d be interesting to wear only a gold thong while auditing and see if they still frisk you for weapons and ID.
  • This tyrant is drunk on power.
This guy likes to talk, but makes his goons do all the violating. Maybe it was a secrete audit. He says all the wrong things on purpose to see if his subordinates would do the right thing and question him. The officer who went in your pockets and the officer who buckled you in did cross those lines by themselves.
0:15, Guys go ahead and frisk him.
1:25, If he wont do it willingly handcuff him.
2:28, If he has an ID we have every right to look at it.
3:59, Go ahead and put him in handcuffs and we can do it (detain him) until we find him on the system.
5:50, Hook him up. (that sounds like an arrested to me)
8:44, Have him sit in the back of the car and lets go ahead an figure out who he is. Handcuffed and buckled up in a police cruiser, a reasonable person would believe they are under arrest not simply detained. But they did put you in the front seat so maybe a little gray area.
  • So voluntarily give up a right or forcefully have it violated… Ah thats how freedom works
  • If they repeatedly bring up the YouTube videos and see what the outcomes are. It shows they are unwilling to educate themselves and need to be removed from the position.
  • As kids we had terms for people who cried about every little thing. We called them piss ant crybabies. The majority of these cops are just trying to protect our community. If you stop messing with them maybe you will have time to invent a robot that wont make mistakes. But until then, having human cops is as good as it gets.
  • I have never been a proponent of defunding the police. I am still not one. However I am for abolishing qualified immunity for any officer that violates the freedom of a law abiding citizen. If this is protecting and serving then we need to let those officers go because who can point out the good officers in this situation? For those who say just comply with unlawful, unconstitutional orders. You are a part of the problem. Law enforcement work for the citizens they are not nor should they ever be considered overlords. When that happens, we no longer have a free society. We then are worse than Hitler or Mao.
  • They need a crime to detain you and for a Terry stop. A Terry stop is a frisk, not a search.
  • What’s really funny is the fact that I’m from Pa. And I know what Tx. 38.02 is! LOL!!!! These cop’s are a absolute joke!!!
    • England here, we’re all up to speed with 38.02 means and we’re on a different continent. 😁🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
  • When you’re wrong, you don’t want to argue. That makes sense.
  • Hey Batt- I love what you do and respect you for it. I am a 25+ year professional and degreed journalist- I don’t say that to diminish non-journalist 1A rights… no journalist has more rights than a private citizen. Conversely, no citizen has less rights than a journalist. My favorite 1A audits are the totally silent ones. A lot of “auditors” say they are going to be silent, but almost none ever remain silent. But a few have, and it was glorious. (In states that are not stop and ID.) I do know, however, that POC have to be more careful in every regard. (Lots of cameras and friends with cameras far away.)
  • I am always amazed at how good auditors stay so completely calm. I hope you end up with a civil rights case because when these just go away by having a complaint go into a file things won’t ever change
  • 6:28 “Texas is not a stop and ID state.” The cop then says “OK, Thanks for telling me the law. Let me tell you whats going to happen. we’re going to detain you until we have properly identified you”. He’s basically said that he’s going to ignore the law and carry on regardless. He definitely thinks he’s a sovereign citizen who can make up his own laws.
  • COP – “The code of criminal procedure gives us that authority”.
  • Supreme Court – No it doesn’t.
  • cop -“this isn’t going to go according to your you tube education…..you are detained so if he has ID we have every right to look at it…..when you are stopped by a police officer you are required to give your name and DOB……..this is an investigative detention……if you want to leave and be free to go just give us your name and DOB……” = we have no idea of the law so we like to bark orders demand ID and go into your pockets to search you for no crime………..this supervisor is totally clueless.. i feel bad for the rookie officers learning from this clown….. we just want to ID you and see if you have warrants….. cops just can’t help their ego…….sadly the cop was too lazy to look up penal code 38.02
  • I’m uncomfortable with how he’s feeling you up. Why he keep touching your junk again and again
  • 7:40 “Why would I cooperate with someone who is treating me like a criminal, even though you already told me I didn’t do anything wrong?” They have NO clue where the disconnect with the public comes from smh
“I don’t know if you’re trying to do something bad”
“I don’t know if you have mental illness”
“I don’t know if you’re breaking the law”
You can hear the disappointment in the cop voice, he probably just learned that he really can’t arrest you 🤣
As egregious as this whole incident was, what bugs me the most is that knowing they are in the wrong and can’t ID Mr Turner, they keep him in handcuffs for one more attempt and then lecture him. At the point they knew they were wrong, those handcuffs should have been off and Mr Turner freed without a second’s delay. Instead, it was another four minutes between the Officer Copsplain approaching the car and Mr Turner being taken from it. If I was on the jury, those 4 minutes would have cost the city a million dollars.
Arrogant, stupid, bullying, cowardly. – Someone tell me again about all the ‘good cops’ there are. Not one of those pigs intervened to say that this was wrong. Not one. Fkng disgusting.
14:30 This copsplaining is hard to stomach, You are so strong dude, I think I would have projectile vomited hearing this crap!
“Cuffs are on by policy”. Isn’t it policy to only put them on law breakers?
>> Sadly no. Use of cuffs falls under “officer safety” you know, the guys with the guns, tasers, mace, bulletproof vests and batons. These guys are so easily scared.
I feel your pain on the cuffs, my wrist were jacked for a couple months after. I would randomly be cutting my food and drop my fork or knife at times. Thanks for standing up for your rights and ours!
The cop-splaining went into overdrive after they figured out that they were way out of line. You are and have always been one of my favorite auditors due to the way you handle your business. All of those screaming and obvious baiting guys have become tiresome. I do enjoy the way you handle cops and your explanations of the circumstances to us. Thanks for all thast you do Phillip!
Did you know that saying “suspicious” three times in the same statement makes it more legitimate? NO! That boss sure seemed to think so. Lol
Did you notice the camera guy was still in those painful handcuffs while the cop has the audacity to not only try to copspain away his illegal activities but he also stands above him, looking down at him like a parent with an unruly child, and lectures AT him for a while. Just another power trip thing. He knows that person wouldn’t stand around and listen to such BS. The cop stepped in it and he was trying to wipe his shoes on the guys t-shirt.
I love how the cops always pull the “you may have a medical condition ” and we may have to have you checked out. Once those words are spoken, you have the cops scared.
“How are you expecting this to play out?” I expect you to know, follow and uphold the law, Officer. If you cannot or will not do so, I expect you to either relieve yourself of duty or be relieved.
This is what happens when you live in a society that requires the person who cuts your hair to have more of an education than the ones who are given a gun and told to uphold law and order and protect and serve the people. I wish a university would do a deep dive study into the personality types who become cops. There are plenty of good cops but we have a abundance of evidence that certain types of people go into law enforcement because they feel it gives them power over people.
That part at the end where the officer says “you can buy a copy of the report”… That’s the exact reason we need to record. They put layers of red tape and can deny FOIA requests for whatever bs reason they come up with. It’s always funny how when people want body Cam footage it takes forever to get released but if the footage clears an officer it’s out immediately.
Did I hear that correct? The settlement was $5500? If so, that is a rounding error for a department that size. They spend twice that annually on fuel for just one patrol vehicle.
